Cruiser Command

Cruiser command is a cooperative map between two teams. Simply put, each team controls one battlecruiser and the goal is to kill the opponent's battlecruiser.

So I would like help in creating a bucket of "wish list" items that a wraith AI should react to/be aware of - and since I am sure to miss some things (and very likely simply be unable to implement many due to the complexity), I would like the list to be as comprehensive as possible such that I can maximize it's efficiency while implementing the bare minimum necessary:

so, here are some situations off the top of my head in no particular order:

1. detect "safe" launch side from BC relative to enemy BC (when enemy BC is within firing range)
2. load flares prior to launch
3. load missiles prior to launch (if t2 offensive is used) - likely with an option at the drone console
4. use flares (when unable to avoid enemy projectiles)
5. avoid shooting into enemy flares
6. avoid asteroids /allied ships
7. avoid shooting asteroids
8. distinguish between combat/miner enemies (use wraith ping after BC ping to identify discrepancies)
9. attack stray enemy miners (try to position between enemy miner/enemy BC first)
10. guard kerm if spawned
11. defend allied miners (stay near stray allied miners?)
12. shoot EMP at miners prior to their warp jump (check that they aren't already EMped first)
13. dock if health is low
14. use cloak? (when/how?)
15. act differently if it has wraith leech? (how?)
16. estimate if it can win an engagement or not (health vs enemy ships, upgrade levels?)
17. play more aggressively if spare wraiths in hangar (stray further from allied BC, closer to enemy BC)?
18. attack enemy BC (if protected by allied BC?)
19. EMP/shoot down mineral packets
20. EMP/shoot down enemy infiltrators
21. Wait for energy/science transfers? (ionic/nanite?)
22. suicide if has plasma? (and suitable target exists, i.e. enemy destroyer?)
23. dodge destroyer shots/missiles?
24. EMP enemy ships to prevent docking
25. stay out of chomper range?
26. shoot down minelayer mines
27. run from enemy subjugators? avoid shooting into shielded target, shoot down plasma automatons?
28. catch kerm asteroids for allied miners/chompers
29. keep distance from enemy corvettes (minimize spread damage)
30. do not shoot at shielded enemy corvette

anything that should be added to the list? any suggestions as to how to prioritize them if a conflict occurs? (going to be some "weight" algorithm most likely)

That's a very extensive list. Possibly add something about being cautious/fleeing if energy gets too low.

and.. since the list obviously wasn't long enough, you felt the need to add the following into the mix:

many small ship items
long-range science abilities (repair / gravity / invisibility)

All we really need the AI to do is the heal one, but I dont exactly want it to spam it because 500 energy every 30 seconds is quite significant

wrong thread, this is about how the wraith AI needs to act differently if a ship has say invisibility on it

who would use it? (trust an AI with an expensive kerm ship) honestly minelayer is probably easiest right now, but wraiths are more in demand
