Cruiser Command

Cruiser command is a cooperative map between two teams. Simply put, each team controls one battlecruiser and the goal is to kill the opponent's battlecruiser.

I'm in Sweden. I don't really have time to fix the drone issues or do any substantial work on the map. If people are interested in fixing the issues, the map is open source on GitHub.

Are you all dead? Or is Cruiser Command done developing? Or....

New clan leader on SC2 here, called CCMD, got about 8 members and 4 games in within the first four hours of founding the clan, and am curious as to the state of the game and it's developers/players.

The game suggests that you guys held tournaments and such in the past, so I'm assuming you have (or had) a fairly large player base, but idk, Arcade Lobby chat seems to be calling it a dead game, so I'm just asking here.

One of our members found this forum when looking for a guide, and mentioned that the most recent post was in March of 2017 so... hey. Let's try to bring it back, if you're all interested? :D The concept is great, the translation into a game is great, and I don't see any reason why the game should sit in a corner and collect dust until it rots away.

Anyhow, it's late here, and I'm looking forwards to talking to you all!

Yes, back in 2013 CC was one of the arcade's Top 10 played games.
In late 2013 and throughout 2014 its popularity gradually dropped until it became a half-dead game with occasional spikes of activity ever since 2015.

Unfortunately it became a vicious cycle now.
You need a decent amount of veterans to make CC matches interesting, but the player retention rate is pretty horrible.
People don't stick around long enough to get a good enough idea of the game mechanics and their depth.

Currently we are playing around with ideas on how to make often-played roles more exciting and streamlining some features to lower the learning curve.
