Cruiser Command

Cruiser command is a cooperative map between two teams. Simply put, each team controls one battlecruiser and the goal is to kill the opponent's battlecruiser.

Hi guys, I've been thinking about this for a while now and I decided to make a thread about it.

I need ideas for ship designs! Mostly, I'm talking about Battlecruiser design, so ships with an interior. The problem with copying the current interior is that the standalone will only have one floor, so we have to consider that when designing it.

You guys know the different parts that we need to have (refining, bridge, power, construction, etc). Try it out and see what you can think of.

Any paint images or manual sketches or whatever is fine. Discussion on previous ship designs is also welcome.

Remember, since it is possible to implement several types of Battlecruiser types for the standalone, the more designs we get, the better.

Yes, but I would prefer "terran" designs to start with.

Also, right now I think the biggest thing is the actual design of the rooms. Then later on we can choose what theme to make it.

Well we can start right off with the BC interior of the WC3 version...time to also crack out some paint skills for other BCs

Oh, I kind of forgot that the WC3 design only had one floor. It's worth noting a couple of things though: The WC3 game had way less consoles and the hangar was much smaller. I think we definitely have to think of something new.

Correction, the WC3 version had WAY more consoles, the only detractor was the hangar, but we can easily add 2 hangars along the narrow part of the ship that attaches to the bridge

Really? SC2 has science, drone, upgrades (split from construction) and 4 extra hangar consoles. That's 7 consoles not in the WC3 version. I don't remember there being way more than 7 extra consoles that are not in the SC2 version.

The ones I remember are:
* Extra weapons console
* Core console
* Energy weapon console?

Back when I played it, there was no boarding and stuff but I hear there might also be a teleporter console?

In addition to this, I feel like the WC3 version kind of clumps them all together in a couple of places. I'd rather have something more spread out.

I like those designs. The only thing I feel is missing is that I don't think the hangar should be divided into hangar slots. With the new hangar changes I proposed in another thread, I think the hangar should just be a pretty big open area.

would you still be able to choose which half of the ship you launched from? or you know.. if there is danger in a particular area of space, will there be a safe way of launching?
