Cruiser Command

Cruiser command is a cooperative map between two teams. Simply put, each team controls one battlecruiser and the goal is to kill the opponent's battlecruiser.

I would really like to add HotS assets to Cruiser Command so this is something I did some research on. I don't just make assumptions.

Please note, that your information regarding problems with HotS-content affecting WoL-players may be outdated since the 4th of june.

I was wondering whether costom mods like CC with added HotS-content would be just greyed out or something with a note that you need to be spawned as a WoL-player, or maybe CC wouldn't even be listed as an existing game when you were to search for it specifically.

I'm bringing this up, because HotS-content wouldn't make it completely impossible to join in on our community anymore - one'd just need a friend or someone in CC-chat with HotS to make a group and spawn him/her. However, I understand that any obstacle, no matter the size, is still an obstacle that might hinder people from playing CC... I just don't know if it is that big of an issue anymore.

We can't afford shrinking the potential CC player base given its current state.
The WoL-only players are still a significant part of this community and I'd suggest to refrain from demanding the addition of HotS content just yet.
At least wait a few more months til everyone got the opportunity to pick up the expansion on some sales (christmas?).

Indeed. There nearly no new players anymore. We cant afford to lose new potential players or old wol-players. The community is just too small right now. :>

Exactly, players could technically be spawned in, but the people I'm afraid of cutting off are the new players we so desparately need. These players wont stick around to find someone to spawn them up. They'll continue on and test another custom game instead.

Switching to HotS is something I want to be very careful with. Besides, there's not going to be any big changes, just a couple of new models.

This should be added now, with the Arcade as free to play. New ship types, go! JK, but hots is something that should be added now that everyone can play it either way.
