Cruiser Command

Cruiser command is a cooperative map between two teams. Simply put, each team controls one battlecruiser and the goal is to kill the opponent's battlecruiser.

They can barely be killed early-game unless they do something dumb, and late-game you absolutely cannot kill them. Between 6 flares, rechargeable (energy-less) Q, and E in there for good escape measure, it can get from one BC to the other without you being able to get one shot in on it. I realize it's supposed to be strong, but it shouldn't take 3 wraiths and a BC to take one out (and only because it ran out of energy, otherwise E spam would have saved it).

Early game they can be killed, even if your sorta smart, but it just requires a lot of effort, agreed late game, overall combat ships (wraiths and corvettes) dont do as much damage compared to the defensive upgrades (thrusters and hull)

I don't get why the shield energy cost was removed.. I think that needs to be brought back

and maybe we can buff the wraith's EMP such that it removes ionic/plasma/etc. form ships

That would be overpowered. Give it to the subjugator, but the subjugator can steal it and re-apply it to an ally :twisted:

Both Corvette shield and Photon Rush use Energy, both are used defensively and/or for escaping.
Guess which of the both would have been used if both cost the same. Photon Rush. It allows you to catch up, dodge a volley, and escape. Shield only buys you a few seconds in a battle (which can be crucial, but in 90% of the time you wouldn't use Shields anymore)

Thus it was removed to keep both useful.
Shield cooldown has been doubled from 15 to 30 seconds to compensate for that.
Now all you need energy for in a 500+ energy Corvette is for additional escaping/catching capability, not for combat itself.

That said, I guess you could lower Corvette speed by about 3% and perhaps lower their inventory capacity to 4?

Their inventory is fine, and corvettes are screwd if they run out of energy. Thought they should get a slight nerf to speed and will see from there
