Cruiser Command

Cruiser command is a cooperative map between two teams. Simply put, each team controls one battlecruiser and the goal is to kill the opponent's battlecruiser.

I do not have actual numbers thought out yet - hence the open discussion. To keep balance, I would try to convert it so that total damage remains the same.

flying against a talented corvette just requires staying at a comfortable range, the game winner is closing that gap. Leave the corvette slow, but give it a forward thruster boost to close the gap, its all it needs! I am confident in saying no matter how well i fly i will not beat a corvette with this feature unless he drains his energy. the perk is obviously getting in close, the cost is energy, i hope this is implemented carefully enough to where a shitty corvette pilot can still be taken down by a great wraith, but if not ill accept it xD

id like to add that even when i fly against a good corvette and win, its not by a large margin. no matter how well you fly you still take damage, if that boost were a part of their arsenal i would NOT win. EVER.

except for destroyers, they just hard counter everything lol (and maby minelayers if done right)

Yeah, the destroyer is probably due for a retooling right after the corvette.

nah destroyers are fine, they are slow and have a slow turning rate, corvettes can get their reflective sheild up and run away

Nevermind the fact that you yourself said two posts up that destroyers hard counter everything-- meaning you are contradicting yourself, destroyers and corvettes actually move at the same speed. So no, a corvette can never "shield up and run away". Also, the shields don't reflect the destroyer's bombardment, making 'shielding up' kind of a pointless thing to do.

then fight the destroyer, better hope the guy is ill equipped, thats what i did once...and won, yes its possible

The shields should reflect the Destroyer's attack. Reflective shield has been bugged for a while, allowing projectiles through sometimes. This was fixed in 1.6 though, has it happened after 1.6?

A skilled Corvette pilot can kill a Destroyer pretty easily. You use shielding to close gap, you then maneuver behind them, you match their speed, keep in their blind spot, and just keep firing.

In a 1v1 the Corvette kills the Destroyer due to turning radius, the shields, and the wide shot.
